About
Based in Cyprus, George Janowczyk approaches cinema from the mechanics of the timeline up. Beginning in the editing room at age eleven (2019), his early focus centered on editorial pacing, narrative economy, and visual rhythm. Over the years, cutting work for freelance clients, online creators, and his own projects gave him a grounded understanding of how a story holds together long before stepping onto a film set.
His path behind the lens starts at age thirteen with a Nikon D3300. In March 2025, submitting a photograph to the local “FEELINGS” photography competition, to his surprise, earned him first place — a turning point that pushed him to explore the visual medium more intentionally. That momentum grew into practical camera department experience on commercial shoots and feature co-productions, alongside writing and directing independent short films. His work is guided by a simple appreciation for visual storytelling and in honest moments of truth…
